Anti-resolutions

1. I will not spend my extra time on craig'slist "just looking". I will try and buy everything that i want instead of skimming

2. I will try to focus on someone that is talking to me even when i am occupied. I will give the person that is talking to me my undivided attention intil the conversation is over

3. I will no longer go to a toilet and flush someone elses nonsence in it. I hate it when i go to a toilet with body waste in it and i will now just walk away from their laziness

4. I will stop buying so many trucks. I will not spend my time buying trucks just because i think they are a good deal and i can make money on them

5. I will no longer be so stingy with my money. I will hold on to money loosely knowing that it is just an object and it will not last forever

6. I will no longer take it lightly for my grandma to quit smoking. I will hound my Grandmother nonstop til she quits smoking making her and my life better

7. I will not stay out all night away from home. I will not stay in town just to avoid my family

8. I will no longer try to be nice when around the people at my home. I will just tell them what my mind says in hopes they will grow up and get their own house!!

9. I will not stop eating candy and junk food. I will continue to feast on candy no matter what anyone tells me

10. I will not stop drinking soda all the time. I will love and enjoy the soda in my life due to the fact water rust your gut

  1. Tyler, I like your resolution about not trying to pay attention when someone is talking to you. I have problems with that sometimes as well. I feel like that is becoming a bigger problem lately because we always have a cell phone in our hand distracting us. I feel like I need to do the opposite of number five. I should probably be saving more of my money as opposed to spending it all the time. I like that you are trying to get your grandma to quit smoking. It shows that you care and want her to have a better life. I definitely know how you feel about the candy and junk food. I can never resist something that satisfies my sweet tooth. I used to drink soda all the time but now that I’ve stopped it is too sugary for me! Good luck with all of your anti resolutions and I hope you succeed!

  2. Tyler, I completley know how you feel when you said you would try to avoid your family by staying out all night in town. I found myself doing the same thing. It gets pretty boring staying at home and it drives me insane but I will try to be home more often to spend more quality time with my family. I like how your resolutions are short and to the point, you just tell it like it is. Seems like you have everything figured out. And about that, "not stop drinking soda all the time" you better be careful, a man at work told me that there was a woman that the Doctors had diagnos her as over dosed on Dr. Pepper. All the sugar and everything that she was drinking from the soda made her extremly dehydrated I gues and killed her. So be careful it may be just gibberish talk lol but it sure got me to drinking only water. But good luck with your resolutoins and have a good year!

  3. I found my self relating to your resolution about just skimming through craigslist to look at things I do that on several other websites just to look "waste time". I should be doing other things with my time obviously. Your post about getting your grandmother
to stop smoking caught my attention because my nana just recently
stopped smoking 6 months ago and I know thats not long but atleast
she fnally realized that she is ruining her lungs, she's a big crabby but I would rather have that then not have her around.Another one I find myself doing alot, but mostly on the weekends was staying out so I don't have to go home and the reason for that is that I have spent all week there why would I want my WHOLE weekend trpped at home, and after awhile my mom kinda drives me crazy. Are you sure water will rust my guts???? If so i'm pretty scared to see what my belly looks like.Overall I enjoyed your antiresolutions they were all pretaining to things you can change everyday so I enjoyed that. Goodluck!

  4. Tyler, i would have to agree with you on the letting money go, for it is only just an object. It will always come back to you no matter where you are at. I agree with you to stop people from smoking, it is a very hard habbit to break, but with that being said it also takes time to do something that is so important to them (or you r grandma). So you can still hound her about it, just give her time to cope with it, or even if you have to, go out and buy things that would help her quit. That could possibly show her that you care enough to help her quit, because not only is she hurting herself by smoking, she is also hurting you, and possibly other people. :)

  5. Tyler,
I loved your anti-resolutions there were hilarious. :) I don’t have trouble with my family like that, that I would want to try to avoid them but I hope those work out for you nonetheless. As for the money ones, I don’t have money just to buy trucks or shop on craigslist for practically anything I want. I have to conserve money but I also don’t have a job (at least one that pays on a regular bases.) Number 9 is something that I have to stop doing because I am trying to lose weight before these weddings I have to go to and of course prom. I also don’t have a fast metabolism, so when I eat fattening food it goes straight to the places you wish it would avoid. Number 3 of your anti-resolutions actually made me laugh out loud. I have always done that; I walk away and let it be some other person’s problem, because honestly it’s just nasty. Your anti-resolution were great, I hope that they become true for you.

  6. I like that on number one you changed the expected outcome and instead of vowing to stop spending time on Craigslist just browsing, you are going to start buying more things on it. On an unrelated note, your honesty has always been a quality that I have greatly enjoyed about you and the fact that this year you are going to stop sugarcoating things astounds me; I did not realize you sugarcoated things as it was. You had me fooled. Your last two resolutions are great. I think life is too short to not enjoy some of the better things in life and that you should go for it. I mean, do not just pig out on candy and soda, that would be unhealthy, but you definitely should not cut it out of your life entirely. People need some good, old-fashioned sugar in their diets. Good luck on your list!
P.S. I love your blog name.

  7. Well your number one you might not want to buy everything you want because thats just blowing your money in my opinion lol. Yah good choice on not flushing any one's nasty junk because thats disgusting and i definitely won't do it. Your number two thats good but its easier to multi task for me you should think about whatever you want while paying attention to them it especially helps when your doing homework and your mom is yelling at you. Good idea on not buying so many trucks it might save you some money. Being nice to family is so overrated so ya its time to be mean brotha! Also hell ya on the soda dude!!! Moutnain Dew is my favorite, nothin better so keep on drinkin!

  8. Tyler, I personally liked that you are trying to persuade your grandma from smoking. It may be hard for her to quit but it's awesome that she has a grandson like you to help persuade her not to smoke and not someone who avoids the situation and let the people they love waste their life away. I have never been to craiglist before but I can relate to the 'just looking' on things I might need and may not on the network. I tend to stray from what I really need when I'm looking for things. But good luck on your list and I hope you enjoy this year!
